This trail is an old rail line that has since been paved for bike and pedestrian use. After about 7.7 miles, the paved trail closes and you end at a gravel road. Rumor has it the land for the trail beyond the gate across the road has been purchased for the trail and people are allowed to continue on (despite the No Trespassing signs), but it's not very friendly to road bikes. From the end of the paved trail, go northwest (right) on Scribner Road to the Cheney Spokane Highway. Following the highway southwest (left) towards Cheney for about 2.2 miles leads back to the trail via Myers Park Road (look for the 1960's excavator on the left). This leads you to the Columbia Plateau Trailhead where you can continue on for another 3.8 miles.
