    Im a fairly new rider 2 months or so.  Okay I went on a ride today and now everytime I get into third or fourth gear my chain jumps back and forth between the two gears.  Is there anyway to fix this at home and not go to a shop. 

     Thanks for any help.

    There should be a barrel adjuster on the cable just as it leaves the derailleur.  Try adjusting this (twisting) a little until you find the sweet spot.
