    I really enjoy using MapMyRide, but as I get better at what I do, I am planning longer and longer routes and the speed of the site is really coming into play. Any chance you will develop a downloadable application that itnerfaces with your servers in the background so that the speed will increase?

    A downloadable route planning application is not in any of our near-term plans.  We view the web interface as one of the best features of the site: community involvement. 

     BTW, for speed issues, have you tried the tips here?

     In addition to these speed tips, we expect our site, along with general web browser and computer technology to rapidly "catch up" with users plotting very long routes.  For example, if you're not already using the latest version of Firefox, you'll see a tremendous speed improvement when you move to it.
