Is this "new" tool ever going to work?
My routes do not show up on roads even though the setting was "follow" roads when I mapped the route.
I also get all sorts of crazy lines and extra points when trying to map a section of a new ride, many of them off in open space to one side or another of the road I am mapping.
This tool is remains completely useless months and months after it was introduced and no one seems to be doing anything about it.
DRPulley,
Can you send a screenshot of the route you are mapping? We use a third party for our auto-routing so they may be having data issues ... this will help us out greatly for us to visualize your specific problem.
You can send it to support@mmf.zendesk.com

Kevin,
screenshot sent. I noticed the exact same problem when viewing a map of the first stage of the Amgen Tour of California.
I updated my Java, which made no difference. I have seen the same issue on multiple computers with different operating systems and configurations, so something is amiss.
The old tool worked fine, and the new tool seemed to work ok at first.
I also have trouble getting the hand to work correctly. It gets stuck in drag mode constantly making it very hard to mark a point.
Thx
Any update on this? I noticed some other posts about offset routes just like what I am seeing.
The issue shows up on every route I view, even if created by somneone else. I have the same problem on multiple PCs, includimng 3 desktops and 1 laptop.
As it stands, the mapping tool is completely unsable. I guess it is time to give up and look elsewhere.

Hi,
Problem solved.
Upgraded to IE8.
Discovered the solution on Bikely. Seems that IE7 and IE8 render some websites or graphics (or whatever) differently. Most troubles seem to be getting IE8 to render properly where IE7 worked fine. IE8 even has a compatibility mode for this very problem. I found little or no mention of the opposite problem however, but I thought that upgrading was worth a try.
The routes now line up perfectly, and the routing is significantly faster to boot.
You should find a way to sticky, FAQ or otherwise announce this.
