I would appreciate a feature that would allow me to Undo the full loop and Out and Back paths I accidentally created, instead of Undoing each point by point.

Another feature that would be nice would be one that would allow for defining a lap, and allow for entering the number of laps run in a particular workout, and perhaps a starting stretch before the laps and ending stretch after the laps.

     Thanks,

    Mike

Seconding Mike's request for an "undo the out and back" paths.

Rationale: I usually start from home at point A, and run to point B. From B, there are a number of paths I take, some are loops, some are out-and-backs. In my case there are a lot of points between point A and point B.

I'd like to be able to duplicate a route, undo the "out and back" flag, then add new points and save the route as a new route.

My sentiments as well.  Why can't the "loop" and "out and back" checkboxes be made available in edit mode?

In addition, i'd like to be able to add points to the middle of a route rather than just appending more to the end. That way I can use Edit Mode to save an alternate route with a detour based on an existing route and SAVE AS a new route rather than starting a new route from scratch.

yes to all the above, I love this tool. It is difficult enough to repeat a trail run as you add distances for an out and back.

You can undo a loop by clicking "undo" repeatly.  It takes off each segment of the loop one at a time.  Watch the total miles to see the segments go.

I'd like to know how to create a new map without "out and back" being the default setting.  I can't turn the feature off.  What a pain.
