Rain, Flood, Vacations, and Work have conspired to keep us away from a group ride for a couple of weeks.  Attending this morning's ride were Tom W, and Tim M.  We did the Toddville-Alburnett loop opting to ride Alburnett Road back rather than C ave.  Hopefully we can get more rides in soon. map http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/ia/hiawatha/249716111985    

 Great Ride this AM.  Attending were Tom, Kasey, Rich, and Tim.  We decided not to join the HBA ride to Stone CIty / Anamosa due to the 50 plus mile length.  We will have to do this route later in the season.  Today we rode the Boyson Road, Toddville, Alburnett, route.  We tackled Hall Hill in reverse riding up Hawks Haven Road and down Hall.  Kasey did a great job for her first longer ride.  In fact when we got back to the trailhead they decided not to settle for 29 miles so we rode down the trail to Center Point Road and back bring us up over the 30 mile mark.   Good job everyone! We had a good training ride this morning!  Attending were Tom, Rich, Tim & Jim Martinek.  Starting at the Tait Cummins Trailhead we rode the Cedar Lake Trail north to Hiawatha and returned south past the trailhead to Hwy 30.  We stopped briefly at DQ and at a classic car show in Czech town.  Ride distance was 21.8 miles which we completed in under 2 hours with stops.  It was a gorgeous day with a light breeze pushing us home and temperatures in the low 70s.  We hope more of you can make it next time. This is a new training tool for our Eastern Iowa Ride to Cure Diabetes Team. I think that the Challenges and My Training tools can be useful in our preparations.  Let me know what you think.  I plan to use this site to map and log all of our group training rides. Tim
