by: JamnTri - Jun 3 2008, 9:52PM
Hello every one, I've not meet all of you, but look forward to doing so. I've been absent from the scene due to a project. But soon I will be back trying...Trying to get back into a routine. This would be running from the YMCA on I-Drive Tuesday & Thursday mornings. It's a early start that would begin around 6:30 - 6:45 am. It is light out at this time. The routes I can map later if anyone is interested. I have two that I do depending on time. A 3 mile out and back and a 5 mile. 3 mile: starts at the Y and heads south on I-drive. U turn around at the Crosswalk to the newer convention center on the back leg you can add the little loop around Amigo's. 5 miler: same start when you get to the crosswalk, U go up and over and around the CC with the loop around Amigo's back to the Y. I'll post again when I start if I see interest. GREAT TIME TO WEAR THE GO UO SHIRTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until then PACE yourself........ JaM

read Friday opportunity!
by: JohnnyRay - May 19 2008, 9:37PM
Hey GO UO! A couple of us are planning a trail run at Wekiva Springs State Park on Friday Morning. We will be meeting up at the main trail head (make a right after the ranger pay station and then park in the first area on the left). We will be meeting up at 8-8:15 AM. We will be running about 6 miles at a fairly easy pace. Try something new, get off the road, get back to nature! Then cool off with a dip in the refreshing Spring! If you are interested, email Rich Nuzzi @ boidguy@cfl.rr.comThis way we can expect you and wait up until you get there. Here is the link for the park. You can check out the trail map there as well. I run along the Volksmarch trail which is about 6 miles from the trailhead , around the trail and back to the trailhead. http://www.floridastateparks.org/WekiwaSprings/ Rich Nuzzi

by: JohnnyRay - May 9 2008, 10:22AM
Team GO UO-  We are gearing up for Charity Challenge 24 at the Florida Citrus Bowl on Saturday, May 17th! We still need participants to come out and be part of the GO UO team!  Particularly we are looking for females so if you can make it please send and email ASAP to gouo@universalorlando.com.  Events that we still need people for are Basketball (shootaround), Volleyball and Tug-of-war. There is no cost for this event as Universal Orlando paid for our team.  There will be great food, drinks (including beer and wine) and a day filled with FUN!  We have our own tent reserved for the two UO teams so we have a place to hang out between events!  Registration starts at 9am and there is an Opening Ceremony at 10am.  Events start promptly at 11am and go through the FREE after party at the Varsity Club inside the Citrus Bowl around 7pm.  This is an event that you will love being a part of and want to do this every year!  Please contact us if you are interested!  There is only ONE WEEK left!  We are getting Tshirts for our team so if you are interested let us know what size shirt you want.  Even if you are already signed up shoot us an email with your preferred shirt size.  We will provide water and soda at the tent. You are responsible for purchasing food/drink tickets at the event.  The tickets are $1 each.  All proceeds go to over 60 Central Florida charities and last year this event generated over $300K in contributions to the charities!  C'MON AND JOIN US!  GO UO!!!!!!!
