description: Travelling through town is a pain during rushhour, but once on Turtle Creek, very quiet roads. The locals when commuting to drive fast (80k speed limit), but most are very respectful and curtious. An option at the top of Caledonia is to climb to the top of the mountain by turning right onto Caledonia Mtn Rd and going to the snomobile club. It adds about 6K to the trip and another 50m of climbing.nnIf combined with other loops (like the Petticodiac River Loop) cut about 25k from the distance. Its 12K from the Shop to Turtle Creek Rd. You can also hang a right onto Rte 895 (off of Coverdale Rd) to choose a hillier and slightly shorter route to Turtle Creek. This likely cuts about 10K from the round trip.

description: Fairly flat ride, great for a North Wind day.
Lunch after about 60K in buctouch, and 50 K later, coffee break.

There are at least 3 options to shorten to loop for those wanting to do more like 120K.

With a North East wind, the headwind should be steady all the way to Buctouche, with the worse section being McLean Settlement to Buctouche. From there down the cost should be mostly tail wind. Two areas so cut off as much as 20K to Shediac. On way back in from Shediac Bridge (Capebretton), again, a straight route can cut off another 10K.

description: Starting at McDonalds at Magnetic Hill, ride to Irving Big Stop in Salisbury for the start of the 110K loop. Those that want a shorter ride, jump on at Big Stop. Havelock has a small store. Elgin has a store and restauraunt. Looping back to Salisbury, there is a coffee shop w Espresso. Those bailing can go up Old F'ton road to the Irving Big Stop, those doing 160K proceed in opposite direction toward Riverview. Trip through bits of North Moncton, into Rural area before you know it. Heading straight to McDonalds at any time to bail the last 10k if you need to.
