description: Lots of Hills and views!! After a good climb up to Paso Picacho campground there is a good 7 mile run with a bit of a descent for 1.5 miles to Cuyamaca Lake, then some good flats for hammerin'.

Then a great climb up the Laguna Mountains with excellent view to the west (if clear) and the desert and Salton Sea to the east.

Take a break near the top at the Laguna store. The final 9 miles or so is an excellent descent back into Pine Valley

description: Extend version of the Campo - Boulevard Loop.
<br>

<br>
Great low traffic open road ride. The Campo-Boulvard loop is a favorite road race on the SoCal calendar.
<br>

<br>
By starting/ending in Pine Valley adds an additional 10 miles plus 1000' of climbing/desending.

The first 15 miles is very fast (downhill and flat). In Campo the climbing beginnings and contines for about 15 miles. Boulevard, Live Oaks Springs or Golden Acorn Casino (Crestwood summit) are good places to stop and refuel.

From Golden Acron Casino enjoy a nice downhill/flat fun down Old Highway 80 to the Buckman Springs Rd. Depending on time of day and time of year you could be heading into a headwind on this portion of the ride.

From Buckman Springs Rd. you have about a 1000' climb over five miles back to Pine Valley.

Grab something to eat and drink!!

description: Excellent road ride from Pine Valley along Sunrise Hwy to Julian and then back to Pine Valley thru Cuyamaca State Park. The loop northwest of Julian is one of the best road rides around. The stretch on Hwy 79 has no shoulder so be careful. Total ride is 62 miles with 6200 feet of elevation gain. Plenty of water stops in Julian, at the Fire station at the start of Engineer Road and at the Cuyamaca Campgrounds.
