Candlestick Essendon Loop
Starting from the Candlestick ( or Tesco's Hatfield if you want to tackle Essendon Hill ) . This route takes you around some of the best Bridleways in Herts. Most of the route is well drained all year, except the Bridleway at 11miles .It get badly churned up by horses, but is a real treat in the summer. It can be avoided by diving down the road called Bucks Alley. Some good Pubs around this route as well. Candlestick Farmers Boy in Brickendon ( a known MTB meet on Sunday before diving into Broxbourne Woods) & the Bakers Arms in Bayford. I have avoided Hornbeam Lane which although steep is pretty boring now that the new fence stops you swooping through the trackside woods - a 25431.7 m activity route in Hatfield, the United Kingdom
