Lots of vertical and if you've never experienced Fernwood you are in for a treat! Want more vertical? Skip the return on Cornell and head up Rockstore and down Decker.
From the shop suoth on Kanan a short distance to a left onto Cornell. Cornell to Mulholland and left. REGROUP at Mulholland and Las Virginas. Easy pace down Mulholland and left on to Dry Cyn/Cold Creek Rd (7min Hill) and REGROUP at the top. Down Mulholland, right on Old Topanga Cyn Rd. REGROUP at the top. Down Old Topanga/Topanga Rd. right on Fernwood Pacific Dr. Up Fernwood staying right at the Tuna Cyn Rd/Saddle Peak Rd junction. Up Saddle Peak Rd to Schueren Rd and REGROUP. Down Schueren Rd right onto Piuma Rd, up and then down Piuma Rd, be careful on the descent or you'll end up with Zema shorts! (ask one of the regulars about Zema shorts it'll make for a good story on one of the longer climbs) Right on the short cut to Cold Cyn Rd and REGROUP. Cold Cyn Rd to Mulholland, left on Mulholland, right on Cornell to Kanan and back to Sundance Cycles. 40mi & 4000ft of climbing. 3.25hrs
