Bike Ride Description
Serious climbing out of Downtown LA. This 60 mile round-trip ride will take you out of downtown north along the river, climb the scenic Chevy Chase Road through Glendale, then crossing Foothill Boulevard and along the seemingly endless climb up the Angeles Crest Highway. The 30 mile turn around point is at approx. 4200ft elevation. (optional) Another 9 miles up will take you to the Mt. Wilson Observatory.

This is one of the best rides I've done that encompasses riding in LA. There's next to no traffic, the roads are well paved, and the hills are decent.
