Description of this Bike Ride

A ride starting at Dempster/Ridge in Evanston, up to the Chicago Botanic Gardens (free admission!) by way of the North Shore Trail (up) and the Green Bay Trail (back). Mostly sidewalks/trails except for small parts (gravel, some street riding). Interesting elevation, particularly at the beginning of the ride back. A little too ambitious for someone as out of shape as I am (haven't taken a ride that far in several years), but well worth it for the scenery, especially on the way up (through the Skokie Lagoons), and at the BotanicGardens.
