Casual Ride (12-13 mph) Flat with one or two hills. 40 FLAT MILES: The Entire Length Of The Mohawk Hudson Bike Path ONE WAY!
Join me for this annual ride from Albany (Corning Preserve Boat Shed) to Rotterdam to build endurance riding a longer distance without hills. The ride follows the majestic Hudson and Mohawk Rivers with periodic regroups. Some city riding occurs in Watervliet/Cohoes and Schenectady, but the majority is bike path without traffic. Sights include the Mohawk’s Lock #7, Scotia’s old R.R. station, Knowls Atomic Power Lab and Schenectady’s Stockade. Great Italian food awaits us in the end at Anthony’s Restaurant. Bring lots of snacks for the ride.
