Description of this Bike Ride

This 23 mile ride uses mostly residential roads. The exceptions are portions on Wantagh Ave and Babylon Turnpike. The Cedar Creek to Jones Beach Section utilizes a Multi-use path which can get quite busy esp. on weekends and evenings. Best rides are to be had in the EARLY AM. If you get really lucky and ride early in the morning you can catch the change in sea breezes and be treated to a good head wiond both ways. It can be a work out.\\n\\nA the beach end there is a bike parking area for lock up, and you can walk to the beach from the bike area. During the winter (between Labor Day and Memorial Day) you can also ride down to the beach and ride the boardwalk, but when the beach is in season Bicycles are prohibited.\n\nPlease use the Hybrid View to better visualize the Path Routes and to find the trail exit from Cedar Creek Park.
