Boyne Highlands 480 foot climb on Road up Ski Hill
I have not rode this yet, but will try it during the Zoo de Mack next year. This is a one mile long 480 foot plus climb that has to be grueling with grades of up to 17% at its beginning. Could this be Michigan\\\\'s steepest road climb? Not sure if this road is paved. This road looks to be a public access road to get to the top of the ski hill. It could burn up brakes on the way down. I would like to try it on the Friday afternoon/evening before the annual Zoo-de-Mack ride which leaves from Boyne Highlands. 2,200 bicyclists attended in the 51 mile long ride in 2008. This single climb in one mile has about 1/2 of the climbing that we would do in the next 51 miles. Its really steep! - a 1 mi cycling route in Harbor Springs, Michigan
