Description of this Bike Ride

One of the longest straight runs of roads in metro Detroit area. 12 mile road from Beck Road in Novi to Jefferson Ave in St. Clair Shores. 32.5 miles, drop of 400 feet as you head east usually with a tailwind. All sidewalks/and or heavily trafficed main road. Use caution, ride only with a mountain bike or cross-bike. Plenty of potholes, driveways to dodge. Take it slow, can't race along. Maybe a 2 to 4 hour trip, plenty of stop lights. Think of it as an urban obstacle course. Eight mile road may run longer, but not in a straight line, as it curves around Maybury State Park in Northville. You can have a friend drop you off/pick you up at one point or the other, as its only a 1/2 hour car trip down I-696 between the two end points.
