Up to Galway the flat way (at first) 9/3/11
I've avoided Central Ave. for traffic and conditions for years . . . but now this way is freshly paved pretty much from the Capitol to Amsterdam. The asphalt was still smoking on the Amsterdam Road. I took Waters Road for the climb because I had done it before -- which was a good call because Wolf Hollow was closed from Irene flooding, but there's a hump in the middle of Waters so you're wasting some elevation. I did bonk a bit, but once I topped out it was easy again - a 65375.6 m activity route in Rensselaer, New York
