2nd Annual Winter City Urban Randonnée ? BCA Fund Raiser Ride the Winter City Urban Randonnée February 12, 2012 ? a rolling fund-raiser for the Bicycle Commuters of Anchorage, in association with the Alaska Randonneurs, and an opportunity for all cyclists to support the BCA while experiencing the adventurous style of randonneuring cycling. Last year 85 riders traversed Anchorage on the inaugural Winter City 50K. This year choose between two new courses ? a 30Km or 50Km winter-day?s ride through the heart of Anchorage on track and trail. Progress from checkpoint to checkpoint, navigating between food & refreshment stops along the way. See how easy it is to get around town by bike in the winter as you enjoy a fun and casual ride around town. It?s a timed event, but not a race ? so don?t dally! $20 to support the BCA Start/Finish: The Peanut Farm. Registration: 8:00AM Ride starts: 9:00AM 30K ? 4 hours 40 min max. 50K ? 7 hours 46 min max. After the ride, stay for post-ride stories, food, and fun at the Peanut Farm!
