All the routes leave Carlton Lodge Activity Centre in Thirsk. We head off towards Nothallerton via twisting country lanes through the lovely villages of Kirby Whiske and Newby Whiske. Just before coming into Northallerton is the 1st feed station situated in the delightful grounds of Parklands Fisheries. After a hearty snack we push on through Northallerton a market town where in May the Tour de Yorkshire passed through. We go on to Borrowby where there are a couple of undulations. Park lane will be a strava segment for the YLCC mountain fuel QOM prize, this will only be QOM for the 'cup o tea an a piece of cake ride' make sure you name your ride as the ride you are on and join the strava club. Just after Borrowby the routes split the 60ml and the 100 ml turn off through Knayton whereas the 30ml go down a rural track through Brawith farm and onto the bridleway which is a tarmaced road through the beautiful Thornton Park. Another few miles around the outskirts of Thirsk past the Racecourse and on the home stretch to Carlton Lodge for your 'Cup o tea an a piece o cake'
