Perfect for beginners
My daughter just started the Navarre running club. She's always been very athletic, but at 9 yrs old, hasn't done a lot of running. I have always been a runner, trying to at least hit the 20 mile/week goal. Not wanting to push her I started her running short distances and doing the walk/run alternate training. She's been doing great and has finally gotten up to a straight mile. We like to fast walk a half mile, then run the mile, then walk the rest to cool down. She's loving it! Which totally makes me happy. I'm sure within the next couple of years she'll be outdoing me on distance and pace. But until then, I'm totally enjoying this great quality time I get to spend doing something with her we both enjoy! Try this route if your just starting out. It's easy, pretty flat, and very little traffic. Enjoy!
