Glendora Mountain Road Loop (GMR Loop)
Start on Sierra Madre Bl. Pass through small gravel stretches, walk the bike if need be. They're short.
Then Glendora Mountain Road is completely closed off to vehicular traffic. It's great.
East Fork Road has very low vehicular traffic: extremely low in fact. The 39 coming back south has some traffic, mostly folks going in and out of the campground areas.
Beautiful views, good climbs. Bring water and food. No available stops along the trip. There's one shop Just at the end of East Fork Road before the 39 but I didn't check out the amenities.
Longest bike ride ever taken. I expected about 3 hours but didn't make it for 4 hours (probably because of 96 degree heat). Highly do not recommend riding in the heat. Go with a riding buddy if possible. Very safe nonetheless.
Very scenic. Ability to access nature's beauty, unheard of being in Los Angeles. There are parts of the ride that is so serene its almost heavenly. - a 34.9 mi cycling route in Glendora, California
