Fisherman's Wharf (San Francisco) to Tiburon (Marin County) - scenic version through marshes
Approximately 21 miles one-way (to the Tiburon ferry that travels back to San Francisco), this route begins in Fisherman's Wharf (near many bike rentals) and continues through Chrissy Field and across the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. The route then follows bike paths through marshes and parks, providing constant views of the bay. There are a few spots where it is necessary to bike on larger roads before arriving in Tiburon. I've deleted the automatic route notes because some of the small paths are not on the map, or are not clearly marked in actuality, and the route is actually more confusing with those notes. The best way to bike this route is to keep an eye out for "bike path" signs and to stay close to the water. I've mapped out the visual route as closely as possible.
