To Where the Pavement Ends (Extended)
This ride extends the "To Where the Pavement Ends" (WTPE) ride adding a number of more climbs. Starting off slowly with Mountain Rd. up to Shingletown Gap, increasing the climbing intensity as you go: Bear Meadows, Houser Rd. to the Mt. Nittany Winery, Mt. Nittany Rd. (to WTPE), Rock Rd, and Upper Gyp's 18% grade. If that's not enough climbing for you, throw in Purdue Mountain at the end. 3000 ft of climbing (measured by Altimeter, not MMR) in 40 miles, never more than 10 miles from downtown State College - a 53.3 mi cycling route in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania
