A 78 mile route along the Blue Mesa Resevoir then rising above the North rim of the Black Canyon north to Hotchkiss. This ride has a total of 1735 feet of climbing and 4012 feet of descent.

Stage Description
This 78 mile trek rides along the orchards of the Paonia valley then starts the ascension to McClure Pass at 8755 feet. The total climbing for today is 3577 feet and the total descent is 3059 feet into the Carbondale valley then over to the hot springs of Glenwood.

Stage Description
This is the big day of the tour starting in Glenwood and going up the Roaring Fork Valley to Aspen. Here you start the climb up Independence pass, the second highest pass in Colorado at 12,095 feet. This 99 mile route descend into the Arkansas Valley then up to Leadville, the mining town at over 10,000 feet. Total climbing for the day is 7223 feet with 3113 feet of downhill.

Stage Description
This day takes us over 10,500 feet over Tennessee pass, Battle Mountain Summit, and Vail pass. We will pass by the 10th Mountain Division's Camp Hale and down through Minturn and Vail then up again and down through Copper Mountain ski resort and down the bike path to Summit County's playground of Frisco where we will spend our day off tomorrow. In just over 65 miles we will climb 3835 feet and get repaid 4753 feet of downhill.

Stage Description
Top out at 11,318 feet atop Fremont Pass through mine country and meet the Arkansas headwaters and follow the river down through Leadville and Buena Vista looking at the highest mountains in Colorado off to the west. Most of the climbing is early in the ride with 2736 feet up hill and 4650 the other way over the 90 miles today.

Stage Description
We're going home. One more pass, Monarch Pass, at 11,312 feet. Today is the final 65 miles of the over 470 miles for the tour. We leave Salida and head west up Monarch and down to Gunnison. We will climb 4538 feet today with a 3854 foot payback. Arrive in Gunnison and you have done it!
